Adams World - An Islamic Version of Seasame Street!Adams World is a series of educational islamic kid show that can be used as an alternate of traditional non-islamic shows like seasame street. It is critical to know that through each of those regular cartoons and educational programs, unislamic culture and values are promoted which at a glance may seem innocent. However, watching over and over again, those shows work as a barrier to implant islamic values, and off course music is involved in each of them. If a kid continuously follow the greeting 'Hi', it is hard to make them understand why it is important to greet with 'Assalaamualaikum'. This is just a small example. Among the rights children have over their parents, one is to provide a good islamic environment. TV with unislamic cultural value works against that right.
Adams World by Soundvision tried to provide a better alternative to tackle that challenge.
Pros: As it is mentioned, a comparatively better alternative for kids. Have 14 DVDs / Video Cassettes in the series.
Cons: It has a drum like music when any episode is starting and asking to press the menu option. Also, some parents may not see it as the best alternative because when the character shows the difference between good and bad manners, it is showing the bad manners as well.
